ISLANDS off CARIA, Kos. 285-258 BC. AR tetradrachm (14,94 g). Xantippos, magistrate. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress / KΩION - XANΘIΠΠOΣ (magistrate), Crab; bow in case below. All within dotted square frame. Small spot of horn silver on obverse at 1 o'clock. Wonderfully toned with light iridescence. Scarce with this magistrate.
