Price attributed this issue to an uncertain mint in Greece or Macedon, but the style and die combinations which are typical for issues of Demetrios I Poliorketes, strongly argue for a mint in western Asia Minor. The recorded hoards with specimens of this type and similar types in the name of Demetrios, have been found in Asia Minor.
